Just a Little Late...


Well, I guess this one came just a bit late...
But you know what they say, "better late than on time"... yup that's definitely what people say.

Anyway, what's new after taking an "extended development break"... Well, I made a new power-up! Now you can grapple to enemies and hit them. OOOHH and I made an auto-target item, so you can just keep pressing attack without thinking now! There was a weird bug for a bit where it would lock onto one enemy and just keep targeting that one, but turns out it was just measuring distance wrong. And by that I mean it was measuring from a random spot to the enemies instead of from the player.  

Other than that it's been bug-squashing as I said in my last post. Stuff like: making platforms not launch the player, making the platform drop through actually work, and making bats not stick to walls (they really like to stick to walls). 


Right now, things don't look good...literally it doesn't look good. Since the deadline for everything is fast approaching, I'm going to set a schedule for the next THREE  weeks. 

  1. Make it playable - Stitch it all together in a somewhat playable manner and upload it
  2. A fresh coat of paint - Give everything a new, more thematically consistent look
  3. Do as much as possible - everything else I need to do to make it not look like a middle-schooler's  computer science project

Yeah, all I need to do is that...
